A recent trip to a great, small campground in Prescott named Point O' Rocks. Older, family run, very clean, small spaces and great location.

Looks like a neat spot.  How are the dual propane tanks working out?

Our propane use is about 1 per season after our second year. We used the most on our trips without hookups, but so far have never used more than one tank a year. We cook outside a lot and the heat is kept low as the Pod really stays warm. Most of our group are the same way, propane goes quite far, even in the larger TT's.

The Granite Dells and Point of Rocks IS amazing and beautiful!  Barbanjoe did you hike up to the top of the dells where you can view town and the beautiful lakes below you?  It is a breathtaking view and NOT a difficult walk!  We Love this place and the folks who run it! POR is only a stones throw away from Lake Watson and Willow Lake (for those who like to paddle around).  We have never tried any other campgrounds here and never will...POR is the spot to be!

Oops I forgot to mention it is also very close to Lynx Lake and Lynx Creek.  For those who have gold fever...Lynx Creek has an amazing 6 mile stretch that is open to the public for gold panning!  We are not "rich" yet but have had great fun and success at this spot...Hubby likes to tell folks there is gold in every shovel of dirt.  I like to guage our "success" on the day spent communing with nature...with that in mind each and every trip has left us vastly "wealthy"!

Welcome, glad to see another phonecian. Yes, that campground is our favorite. I fish in the lakes and we do hike the trails. We also go to Sedona,Camp verde, and Williams every year. Gives us an assortment of places close enough to drive for a weekend getaway!
