It look like a nice place to camp.  Like Dane and Donna, ours is winterized and eagerly waiting for spring to come.

Thanks for reporting on the "good" sites, I guess I need to pick one and commit to a reservation soon.

Hmmm strange for some reason C33 is no longer available after I booked it.... Just kidding!!!!!!

Yes they did have a lot of trees down in the park.  C17 is the site I have stayed in before (several times) and really hate that one!

Winter camping? Has anyone done anything in particular to insulate your campers? We camped over the thankgiving holidays with a couple of nights in the 30's and was amazed at how cold that outside wall is when you role over and your backside comes up against it. Not sure there is anything you could add but just wondered what others may be doing.

I have an extra body between me and the walll LOL! And she has one of those 5 foot body pillows up against the back wall of the 171 queen size bed. We use a collection of down comforters collected over the years on top of us, too. With the furnace or a small electric heater we were quite cozy in the lower 30's. That's with three of us - daughter on the dinette Bed under many layers. She claimed to get too hot! We did notice the windows got good and steamed up, so I opened the fan an inch or two the second night to let some of the moisture out.
We'll report on our January trip and let you know! Walt.

We've camped down into the 30's several times and also found we had to leave a window cracked and the vent cracked to prevent condensation.  Other than that it is so well insulated the heater didn't need to work often or long so I haven't done anything different.

I have a thick cotton bath mat to insulate the floor, and one of those cushioned kitchen mats for areas that may get dirty (by the door).  I also have a thin fleece throw that I use next to the back of the pod as extra insulation.

Spent my first night in my Pod on Sat night in Meridian MS and temp was down in 20's; but I was toasty warm with only a small electric heater!  I was told the walls are 2 in thick and well insulated; sure seemed that way to me.  Did have some condensation, as I forgot to leave a window cracked.
My overall comfort in that low temp was a pleasant surprise!
