Topic: Ball size Posted: 26 Sep 2011 at 10:50pm |
I picked the pod up last week and put it on my 2 inch ball. I started thinking is that the right size ball ? I had a 27 foot trailer a few years ago and had a 2 5/16 ball on it any help would be appreciated.

For the R-Pod, the 2"ball is sufficient, according to all the tow weight ratings I have seen for hitches.

Not only is the 2" ball sufficient...the Pod's coupling is designed for a 2" ball! You would have to change the coupling to accommodate a 2 5/16" ball. The OEM coupling would not lock onto the larger diameter.
