Topic: New RPod owner Posted: 24 Sep 2011 at 5:35pm |
Hello. I hope I'm doing this right. This is the first time I've ever posted on a forum. My husband and I camped for the first time last weekend in our new RPod. We have a 2011 171, and we love it! We live in coastal CT and decided to camp at Hammonasset State Park. It was about a 40 minute drive from home and a good way to try out the camper for the first time and not be too far from away. We have a 12 year old daughter, and the camper was the perfect size for the three of us. Several families walked over and asked to see it. Seemed like it was the only RPod in the park at the time. We're going to return there for Columbus Day weekend and have other camping trips in the works. We have some questions that I'll post later. Very glad to find this forum!

Welcome to the forum, Cay! As fur pod says, spend some time digging thru the forum threads and you will become an expert quickly. Any of us will be willing to help or point you in the right direction. We love our 171, too. The family consist of the same as yours, although our "girl" is older. Check the other forum ,too- there is a lot to learn about these little gems.
So welcome and happy podding!

Thank you both. I've been doing just that. Already found the answer to how to mount curtains that I plan on making. Those blinds have got to go. I never thought of tension rods before.
