Loved our trip to South Dakota.  The rpod was great to have.  It was our first big trip.  Learned some tricks, like what is worth taking, and what does not make the cut.  We liked Whispering Pines Campground as it was in the center of the Black Hills easy to visit any area.  Yes, we drove the camper over the Hills on the Wildlife Loop.  Had to take a picture at the top.  The last night we stayed at Game Lodge in Custer Park.  It was wonderful.  Stream right outside the camper.

That looks like a very pretty spot you stayed at!

Curious, what all did you take with you that won't make the list of things to take next time?  I know our first trip we way overpacked and took things I could never ever see us using now.  LOL

Not making the cut next time:  Sodastream (makes pop and it is too easy to just keep pop in the cooler in the back of the truck), tailgate ladder golf (not necessary for just the 2 of us) and the ipod player (maybe on weekend trips but not on longer ones).
I want a topper to haul the generator.  We saw a great campground that would have been so beautiful to stay in, but no utilities.  Plus a few other things that would be nice to lock up or just not have blowing around in the back.  Also think we could keep a tub of clothes in the back of the truck instead of getting on our hands and knees to drag the back tub out from under the bed.
By the way, we got lots and lots of compliments/comments on the pod.  I am sure you experience that too.  One lady pulled up beside us at a gas station just to tell us how much she loved it.
We showered almost the whole time in the pod.  You can get a system that works and it is not so bad.

David,
I know that this is TOTALLY off the topic, but did you notice that this last post made your number of posts 666?  Between that number and your comments in another thread about 2012 - well, should I be a little superstitious or what?  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Did you happen to run into Rocky Raccoon?  I heard he was laid up somewhere in the black Hills.  Something about a scratch, a gal named Lil and some guy named Dan.LOL

Great Pics. Looking forward to hearing all about your travels this weekend! It is funny, the more we use the 'Pod, the less stuff we take along.
