It would not be easy to remove.  There are bolts through the walls and they are sealed with silicone.  It is over the door so it doesn't interfere with shutting the door and we have a hook on the back wall that the curtain is hung over when not needed.   We stole the idea from another podder who used pvc pipe and we used copper pipe.

This is how theirs looked although, they talked about also using a rod through the wall to update/stabalize it.

We took the guess and we buy a rp-171 today.

Less space in the middle than the 177 but more storage place .

We'll get our new r pod next wednesday

thank you for all your comments.

Congratulations! I wish you many happy journies in your new Pod.

Brin - I agree with the others - great mod!  I think the choice of using copper was a good one.  Do you think you could possibly come up with a mod that would render the bathroom "self cleaning"?  That would be one mod that I would really enjoy! LOL

Congrats also, Damour.  There are many 171 owners here (including me).

Brin, make sure to post something in the Mods section if you haven't already.

The R-Pod seems to be more and more popular in Québec .
The fact that it's light might contribute to that.

With an average little SUV (we have a Santa Fe 2011) it's perfect

I pulled my 173 with a 2009 Sante Fe. Never had a problem, I understand the new ones pull even better. Have Fun!

We have a capacity of 3500 pounds with the new Santa Fe but the saler tell us to keep a range of 800-1000 pounds for the stock that we bring (including water in tanks).

We are Ok our 171 is only 2100 pounds  Big smile

I'm so excited I can't wait 'til wednesday ! Thumbs Up
