Sorry, but we had to upgrade. I thought that it would be big enough to do the job but Mama was the one that really decided that we had to go larger. Even with all of the mods that I did to ensure that we would not have any problems I just knew that for the trips that we want to take this summer it just would not work. So... we traded in our van for a Grand Cherokee with a 5.7 V8 Hemi to power it. Never have had a car with 4 wheel drive but sure like the power. It's a 2007 that was a lease with low miles. ( The price of a new one was enough to choke a horse.) Can't wait to bring the POD home next month ( it's like DocToms hiding in a cave out of the weather) and see how it pulls.         Happy Trails......Goose   Smile

Congats on the up grade!  Now if you get the urge to go see something on a back road in the mountains you can do it.  Plus the Grand Cherokee is nice!Smile

You had me going for a sec - "another one has traded in their 'pod".  Glad to read I was wrong!

That was the plan. There is no WAY that Mama is going to give up the POD.
I sugested that we could look at a bigger trailer and was told no way.    Goose  Tongue

Congrats on the new jeep.  I'm actually looking at a smaller camper.  A 10' long tear drop.  I did a lot of camping this winter with the rpod but a tear drop would get me in farther than when I was able to get with the pod.  (and no I would be keeping the pod also)

It will be nice to have the extra power, congratulations on the new member of the family. I got my pod out of the cave last weekend, and "camped out" on the driveway. It was kind of sad to take it back to storage, but was given a tour of the cave when I did. Awesome place. They have some employees there that must be excellent "backers" as there are some huge trailers and motor homes parked only inches apart! Impressive.

Hope to see you out there this summer, neighbor.

We have ours at Interstate Undergound at 23rd St. and I-435. You can take it in and they show you where to park it, they had me drop ours just off of a pillar in front of a boat. They have a limit at 10 feet high here so thats no problem with the POD. Monday April 11th is its coming out date as figure that the ground will be firm and the real bad cold will be gone. One day we will camp together and swap stories and mods.    Goose   Smile
