Came across something very disturbing! Tires have a expiry date!!!
If you look on your sidewalks, you'll see eather a 4 digit or 3 digit number in a circle. In the 3 digit, the fist 2 numbers are the week the tire was made, and the last is the year before 2000. So 329 would be 39nth week of 1999. For the 4 digit, the first 2 is the week, the last 2 is the year. So 4107 would be 41 first week of 2007. Now for the cruncher! Tires expire after 6 years after their made!!! Regardless if they never been used! Check your tires, please! |

I wouldn't worry too much, as long as the rubber isn't dry-rotted you are ok. My father bought a utility trailer in '88 and it had the same tires on it until we rebuilt it last year.
