The lights don't always turn on depending on what's connected to them, and it can be hard for older eyes to see if the the fuse is bad. If a light is on the fuse is blown, if it's not on then get out your meter and check with that.

Works every time and a useful tool always.  You can get a reasonably good, reasonably priced multimeter at Ace Hardware, among other places.  It will be invaluable checking the condition of your house battery and other troubleshooting.  this is a good fuse and you can, just, see the fusible link, a straight bar in the top of this fuse.
