Picking it up Friday from Campkins in Whitby, Ontario. This is the Link to the actual trailer http://www.campkins.com/RV-Detail.asp?sstatus=&stype=Travel+Trailer&slengthf=0&sto=999999&slengtht=50&sfrom=0&ssearch=&no=&ssdealerno=&ssdealername=&DoSearch=Find+My+RV+Now%21&VEHICLE_NO=248086&DEALER_NO=4065
Will stay over in Emily Provincial Park before heading back home to North Bay, closest park with any vacancies. I previously owned a 1980 Trillium 4500 and miss it terribly, so back to trailering.Smile

Congratulations on the new trailer!  Campkins was my dealer too.  Of course, we only live 20 minutes away.  They've been very good to deal with.

When you have your walk-thru, take your time.  Check the operation of everything.  In addition to the appliances and systems, check the alignment on doors and drawers.  Bring a DVD with you and check that the DVD player is working.  Flush the toilet, turn on the shower and the taps.  Run the fridge on 12v, 120v and propane.  Lower and raise the stabilizers.  Everything.

If you need to stock up after you've bought the trailer, there's a WalMart about 10 minutes due south of there, also on highway 12, in Whitby (at Taunton) - there's a Great Canadian SuperStore in the same plaza.

Its funny that you've mentioned Trilliums.  This weekend, we'll be joining some friends at a Fibreglass trailer rally (Trilliums, Bolers, etc) in Niagara Falls.

Welcome!  A closeby campout is a great idea.

Thanks for the help, what is a Great Canadian Superstore? Paddy

Welcome to the group!  Having owned a RP173, of course I feel it is the superior floor plan Smile and I hope you'll enjoy it.  Personally, I found the jack-knife sofa more comfortable to sleep on and quicker to set up.  (I just threw a sleeping bag on top of it - so a quick fold down, unroll the sleeping bag and, I was ready for bed in under 60 seconds!)
The under the sofa area made for nice storage, with the help of a few "Rubbermaid" containers.

Again, welcome and keep us up to date.

PS - I don't know what you are towing with, but in my case I found the tongue to be so light that I actually favored placing things towards the front of the unit and setting my hitch to tow in a slightly  "tongue down" pitch/attitude.  Elsewise, the ride was very "bouncy".  I towed with a GMC Canyon truck.  Something with softer springs might not exhibit this.

Its basically a Loblaws grocery store with a fairly large selection of housewares, clothing and (in season) patio furniture.
