Thanks to all for their replies.  I finally have some general answers to my original post.  Forest River needed the diameter of my axle on the 177 Pod.  I measured it but also saw the factory sticker(name plate data) from the axle Mfg. on the axle, took a digital pic and e-mailed it the dealer.  They forwarded my e-mail to the axle Mfg., identified which axle I had and then the local dealer was able to give me a quote.  The long and short of this is, the axle riser is about $88.00, shipping about $15.00, labor to install about $190.00, so we are looking at about $300.00 lump sum!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a fair deal. Out of curiosity, would the price from the dealer in Canada include installation?........probably not but if it did that wouldn't be a bad price. I would still install them myself and save a hundred bucks. If you don't mine could you give me your ordering information or contact at Forest River so I can order mine. Was this done by phone or on line?

Thanks

Hey....I just received my ordered risers from Forest River.

Since I'm from Canada, I either had to order them from my dealer (risers: 200.00$, freight 25.00$, Hst..26.00$)....or from the factory ( risers 75.00$, freight 33.34$, broker fee and taxes 43.31) ...Forest River told me they could not ship UPSS because of the weight ...so the order was shipped UPS.

Let's do the math again: from the USA 151.65$....from the Canadian dealer 251.00$

I got the risers within 10 days of ordering...the dealer informed me that they had to order the parts in from Forest River.

It pays to shop around..

That's not a bad price.  I think I paid about 200 for mine installed.  So much nicer in pulling and not worring about the bottom of the camper.

Does anyone have a phone number or email address for Forest River to order the riser kit. I have finally decided to install them on the RPod. There was a post for instructions to install them yourself, if anyone knows where that can be found that would help too. The heighth of the risers are they 3 1/2" and the cost from Forest River about $100.00?      Thakyou   David
I found the number for Surveyor 574-642-3119 and ordered the 3" risers they were $75.00 plus shipping estimated to be about $15.00 to $20.00 to south Fla. Now I will have to install them which I hope will not be to difficult.    David

There have been several people who have installed them by themselves.  I had my dealer install them while the camper was in for other service.  I did not feel they cost too much.

I would offer to be a shipping point, but I'm nowhere near the border.  If anyone plans a trip down the East Coast, just let me know.  I think we are also planning on visiting Niagra next summer and we could meet up.

BTW, FR called me back this morning, my risers are on the way.

Or find someone on this side of the border to ship them to.  Then drive over and pick them up.  Don't declare them when you go back home.  Cheaper that way.Clap
