I took a chance on these ones - but they were only $36 for 10 and I was willing to be disappointed with them. They seem to be fairly well made, but who knows - they may all blow within a month. |

I know what you mean. In the past, I've gotten the blueish LEDs and really disliked them. I got lucky with these new ones; the colour is white like a halogen bulb. No noticeable blue tinge at all. I like them and left none of the incandescents in. |

No, just a transistor and a couple of resistors. They do get warm to the touch; not quite as warm as a cup of black coffee. But, they don't heat up the light fixture like the incandesents did. The lens stays cool to the touch. |

I got the ones similar to Outbound but, I paid a lot more for them
 . Mine have six LEDs verses the 10.I have found them very satisfactory. I only put them in "priority" locations - over the kitchen sink, dinette and, over the bath vanity/mirror (the places I need when dry camping). I, too, bought the warm white version. Though not as "yellow" as incandescents, they are not "blue". To me, the light seems similar to a florescent bulb, in terms of color. (Tech - mine do not have heat sinks and do not get at all warm)

I got the ones from China from an earlier post about 2 months ago, the color is more blue than yellow, I like it in the head and in the back of the pod (RP-172) I like the factory incandescant at the door and over the stove, I think the yellow light is more natural, I also put the LED;s at the head end of both bunk beds, Donna has not checked them out yet, not sure what her reaction is going to be, I tried to use logic and explain current draw and heat generated by one versus the other, we shall see.

I'm a glutton for punishment (and its been a couple of years), so I tried again. I just replaced all of my interior lights with warm white LEDs. I bought them off of eBay for $36 for a pack of 10:
Using a light meter app on my Android phone (which seems to give a fairly accurate reading - 1 candle from 12" away gives the correct reading of 11 lux), the original 7w incandescents were 260 lux. The new 1.32w LEDs were 150 lux. This is my first weekend camping with them, and I've found them to be perfectly fine. Although they are a bit dimmer than the originals, its barely noticable and the lights work well and give ample light in the trailer in both bright daylight and at night. I am not sure how brightness is really measured when comparing LEDs and Incandescents.
I bought some LEDs with supposedly the same lumins. However, the color temperature (K-Kelvins) seems to make a great difference. The lights did not 'give' me the same amount of illumination, especially for reading. I had to install much 'brighter' LEDs to provide the same lighting as the OEM Pod bulbs, they were also more than ten times as expensive. But their power requirements were very small compared to the incandescents. |

I successfully installed the WLED-xHP10-DAC over the sink. They are very bright compared with the 6-LED arrays. I would guess that 2 of these are about equivalent to the incandescent bulbs they replaced.
