I meant that it didn't get broke bent yet.  I can still see the camber.  And when I meditate on the condition of the axle, it tells me that its in synchronization with each wheel gliding effortlessly down the road, except there's no where to go because the camp grounds in the Sierras are still closed and full of snow.  Cry

Indeed. Saw on the weather report this morning that Squaw Valley has had 715 inches of snow for this season. That is just short of 60 FEET of snow. Some of the high sierra camps will not open this year at all; it will just take too long to dig out and provision.

I've had 3 trips to our favorite campground cancelled due to late opening.  Now the target date is June 21, over a month late.  But I'm not complaining, mind you, we had a wonderful winter with a badly needed snowpack.  Out west one should never complain about precipitation or the rain god will hear it and turn off the spigot, leaving us to dry out as we did a couple years back.

Unless you live in one of the recently burned areas where too much rain can be a really bad thing...

Well, with the weather nothing is perfect.  It's either too much or not enough.

Like most things in California there is no "normal" Sierra snowpack. LOL

Much better to use the term "average" or "mean". Sierra snow pack is highly variable. The figure usually used is surface water equivalent on April 1, which is about when the snow pack is usually at its max. The standard deviation of this number historically is something around 50% of the mean or higher, so you have about a 1/3 chance of having 150% of "normal"  or 50% of "normal", and about a 5% chance of having either 2x of average or zero snow pack on that date. Check out this set of charts.

California has nothing that is average.  Everything is exceptional; exceptionally wet, exceptionally dry, exceptional fires, exceptional floods, exceptional traffic, ....  I could go on for another paragraph, but it'll get off topic.  Wink
