I think it would be great to visit a beach campground. I have seen pictures of a vintage camper pulled up on a beach (can see water in background) and guess was either just there for picture or "dry" camping. Would love to hear from any of you that know of any on the North Carolina or South Carolina coast.

Pay very close attention to the high tide line!  If the sand is loose the Pod will sink into the sand and become very hard to pull.  I think we average 1 lost vehicle per year from people leaving their car/truck to go somewhere (usually drinking) and the high tide comes in and then it's kiss it goodbye.

What advice! Wow. Not much of a drinker, but could go off and sightsee, same thing.
I think what I have seen in pictures was being parked in a parking lot, not on the sand at all.  I can not much imagine that anyone can get near enough anymore.  I keep an eye on the weather here in the mountains, storms at higher elevations and being parked near the mountain stream . Kind of leave those for others , they love the sound of water rushing.
Makes one think since the very recent tragedy in Arkansas at the campground.

That story out of AR is really sad.  I have been in that campground with my motorhome.  It didn't rain then though!

I camped a few times in Pa at a camp ground next to a stream.  Only problem is once is starts raining most of the sites flood and stream is now a river.  The campground used to have seasonal sites right on the edge and the owner would call the owners and give them less than an hour to move their campers.  After all the calls were made he come with his tractor and pulled tha campers out and did not matter what was hooked to it or slides open.  He justed pulled.  Needless to say that owner no longer owns it and the new owner does not ren the water front too often.
