If I was to add an electric jack to my 2017 HR179, what weight class would I need to purchase? Is it based solely on tongue weight? If so, I could get away with a lighter version.
Thanks

this is the one i used and it has been good.  if you have a WDH you will be using the trailer jack to not only lift the pod but the rear of your tow vehicle as well at the same time to attach and detach the wdh arms.  hence the need for the 3500 lbs.

This is a lot cheaper.

We bought this one, which worked fine with our 179 and 2012 Highlander.

Now that we have a heavier TV (2019 Dodge Durango), I'm considering replacing it with a higher capacity model. The jack is straining awfully hard once I get close to the point where I can swing the E2 WDH bars over the L-brackets. I may just go for the next beefier Quick that SH mentioned.
