Even though I look at the 3 generations and the decals are hideous, I really think "the pods" are going to be the new classics. I just happened to buy the new color scheme yesterday and questioned the decals. But looking at gen1 and gen2 colors for several months and having them "grow on me", I felt I had to keep them on.

FYI, the factory in Goshen uses Cyclo brake cleaner in the green can to remove glue. Just before applying the new decals, they wipe the surface of the pod down with acetone or alcohol.

Great tips! The first dealer name decal is quite large and splayed across the back of the Pod, and the dealer I bought it from chose four spots to add their name as well. Its starting to look like a billboard of RV dealers here in Alberta!
I've found that pressure washing with a small 1200 psi unit at the end of a sunny day works well, too. |

I posted this for the people that are having problems with their decals peeling. I had the front of mine peel really bad this winter but was replaced under warranty which is now over. If they peel again I will remove them and look to do something different.

We have a design idea for different graphics so have removed all of the originals. Our decal man suggested the exact method that rpodcamper most excellently described. It worked great. He gave us a little plastic scraper which was helpful - kind of like a thick credit card with a beveled edge so maybe you could improvise. He also let us use his bottle of glue solvent for clean-up, which unfortunately, I cannot provide the name of. Goo Gone did NOT work. John discovered that exposing the decals to be removed in the direct sunlight for a few hours made the whole process a lot easier. He did the shade side and the sun side at the same time and really noticed the difference. Also, once you get a grip, pull up with equal tension on each edge.
We love our r-pod, original graphics, no graphics, dream graphics. When it is done, we will post a picture, if I can figure out how to do that.

Pictures have been around of a 'pod w/o any decals and it does indeed look naked.

Why not just order the pod from the factory without the decals?
