We're heading down I-75 to FL Monday, with a stop in KY and GA along the way. This will be our longest trip with the rPod and the first time out of state. Hopefully the big storm going through there will be mostly over by the time we pass through. We spent the last couple of days making sure all rPod and truck systems were "go", and vacuuming up all the ladybugs that expired inside the pod after it was shut up last fall (how do they get in there, anyway?)

We always maintained a blog on our boating vacations, so we're doing the same for the rPod. This way nobody's inbox is clogged up with my photos and drivel, and they can go look at their leisure.   Although mostly meant for family members, the link is below if you are interested.  Right now there's a few things there from a quick trip last fall, but we'll be adding entries and photos as we go. You can add comments to the blog entries and photos if you want, and there's also a guestbook to sign. There's also a list of links and future trips we have planned.

The return trip is via I-65 as far as Savannah. We were in Savannah a couple of years ago in October and just did not get enough of it, so we hope to spend a few days there on the return, weather permitting. After that it's I-69 to home around the first of March.

We'd be mighty pleased if you'd follow along with us on our trip.

Approve  Sounds fantastic.  I'll check your blog and see how it goes.  You're making me even itchier to get on the road!  We're going to Florida in March for a visit (to family and to Ralph the Pod Hole).  Will also look into buying a truck while we're there so we are ready.
Be safe out there and have fun!

Say what?

You just can't put that out there and not expect anyone to ask about it ...

Huron Sailor, hope you have a safe trip. Never drove on ice or snow sounds dangerous to me. The weather is beautful down here near 80 degrees, with low humidity! Will follow along on your blog. Happy Camping!       David and Danette

Not much snow here right now, and I-75 is usually well maintained so hopefully there shouldn't be too many problems due to weather.

Driving on ice and snow isn't that bad, you get used to it. Last time I lost it was no big deal;  I actually heard a Tchaikovsky waltz in my head as I was spiraling in circles. Kidding!

We like our skiing and snowshoeing, but we're looking forward to that 80 degree weather. Save it for us!

Will check it out, enjoy your trip.

We're basically iced/snowed in right now.  I was out with my kids earlier and getting home was iffy.  We ended up walking the last half mile and left the car with a neighbor.  And they were calling for only an inch at most last night...

We got about 5 or 6 inches here in Prince William county.  Roads are iffy but since it is not the 22 inches we got last month, I am not intimidated.  I want warm weather though.  Enough with the snow.
