Cute movie. It is amazing how far computers have come. I harken back to grand days of old - before there were GUIs, before the internet, before hard drives; back, when if you wanted a computer to do something, you had to write your own program! Oh, and when "Pong" came out...what a marvel! I remember laboring late nights at the University keyboards trying to produce something pleasing to the professors - a program that worked! At the time, only the boldest of us could envision at time when computers would talk to each other; a time when most every household would own a computer and we would use them to buy trinkets with credit cards and insult each other at light speed!
Yes, we've come a long way. Go forth and think boldly, fellow posters! If the past is any indication of the future....heaven help us!
Hope to see you "out there"

Funny ending. David, the first hard drive I bought held 10 mb, it was used, and it still cost me $100 (in 80's dollars). I was excited to buy a 300 baud modem for that same computer, and even more excited when I later bought a blazing fast 1200 baud modem. Who woulda thunk that the BBSs of those days would morph into.... this. |

Pac Man was a lot of fun, but, IMHO "Asteroids" and "Space Invaders" were the best. A fella could save the universe for only 25 cents! As I have matured though, I'm not sure it''s worth that much money.
Hope to see you "out there"
