Rick and I started camping in 1985. Our first outing was in a tent borrowed from a friend. It rained 2 out of the 3 days that we were there. Water puddled in the corner of the tent where I slept!! The deciding factor against tent camping for me was on the last day of our trip. I lifted my air mattress and there was a green wormy thingy under it. I said no more tents. Our friends, who really wanted us to camp with them, suggested that we go to Indiana to look at popups. On that fateful trip we purchased a Rockwood tent camper. We have owned that little thing since 1985. Camping has been a joy for us. We started camping with a little 6 year old girl and an 11 year old boy who learned to skate, ride a bike, and skateboard in a campground. It was our intention to move up to a TT but after the kids grew up, there was no need. We are now in our early 60's and the little popup is beginning to be more work than fun. ALONG CAME THE R POD!!!!! After much reading and discussion on the forum, we have ordered a 172 which will be here at the end of January 2010.
