FYI, it was an smtp (mail) relay thing. Not unusual.

The platform is a Microsoft Windows based. It also uses a database. Thinking about it, I suspect some form of database corruption or that the database needs to be compacted.

I have noticed a number of bugs since I've been on, and it hasn't been that long for me. Maybe I'm just picky.

I think it more likely to be the "cloud" platform which is in current use. The software has been working well. When something breaks, the question to ask when diagnosing is, "What changed?"

I suspect the issue is either with the server platform itself and/or the ancient forum software (we're on version 9.64, released in 2009). The Web Wiz software has been updated regularly, and the current version is 11.10, which was released in March 2017.
