I agree about location, we also live west of Sac and would like a place that's close to a highway? Thinking the coast is hard to get too?

If I can get it together, it will be in Harbor (Brookings ) Oregon, just 5 miles from the California/Oregon border, 1 mile off US RT 101, 1 block to the ocean, Port of Brookings Harbor.

I really dont want to say to much yet till Im sure, but there are beaches, fishing, golf, biking, hiking, food, sightseeing and shopping, etc.
We are thinking of activities at the park as well as time for podders to be on their own to explore.
I should know more on Thursday.
Cheers: Jeff

Brookings is a fabulous location for such a gathering. From Sacramento we have driven with our pod across Hwy 20 to Hwy 101 and then it is a direct drive up to Brookings! Hwy 20 is beautiful and is an easy drive with the pod. It goes along the north side of Clear Lake.
We live about 90 minutes south of Brookings and will be on our way to Deception Pass for our rally but we will definitely try to be there!

Sounds beautiful, maybe some other time. For our maiden voyage, I think we should find a place closer to Sac.

I will have to agree...perhaps we could find more ponders in the greater Bay Area/Sacramento area...

We would appreciate some suggestions for a campsite for our maiden voyage next month that is not too far from Sacramento. Someone mentioned Bodega Bay. Is that easy for a 1st timer to navigate? Thank You

Bodega is a great weekend stop! The state park is north of town and the sites are nice... Let me know if more info is needed.

Just a idea for a first trip, there is a KOA in Coverdale just a couple miles off 101. It's a nice campsite & has all the hookups to test out everything. We have gone there for a quick getaway, we're in Napa. Plus go winery hopping to boot!
