Hi all, as a new owner of a pod,I see there is nothing as far as a round up camping adventure for us in northern California. So how about some of us chat about putting one together? How about the coast, mountains or whatever? Most of us here have years of playing in our great outdoors we call home! So what do you think?

Cheers

I know some of our members who are hosting the Deception Past Rally this Spring are talking about a California rally.  Just some chatter at the moment  I'll see if they have anything more planned out yet.

I am wondering if there is interest in having a northern California, southern Oregon get together in early spring, for only R-pods?

If so I could put this together at a very nice park right near the boarder right on the coast.

I'm thinking this would be an informal (unofficial) (not affiliated with FROG, or Forest River, etc) weekend get together for podders.

If it's ok with the moderators here, please let me know. I think I would need at least 12 people to make it work, up to or so 20 max.

Let me know asap on those who tentatively are interested, and then I can get the plans together and post as things develop, dates, rates, plans, etc.

Cheers: Jeff

If I can get it together, it will be in Harbor (Brookings ) Oregon, just 5 miles from the California/Oregon border, 1 mile off US RT 101, 1 block to the ocean, Port of Brookings Harbor.

http://www.port-brookings-harbor.com/webcams/port-of-brookings-harbor

I really dont want to say to much yet till Im sure, but there are beaches, fishing, golf, biking, hiking, food, sightseeing and shopping, etc.

We are thinking of activities at the park as well as time for podders to be on their own to explore.

I should know more on Thursday.

Brookings is a fabulous location for such a gathering. From Sacramento we have driven with our pod across Hwy 20 to Hwy 101 and then it is a direct drive up to Brookings! Hwy 20 is beautiful and is an easy drive with the pod. It goes along the north side of Clear Lake.

We live about 90 minutes south of Brookings and will be on our way to Deception Pass for our rally but we will definitely try to be there!

So sad we missed reserving a spot at the August Rally (just joined the forum in early July).  We are in Northern California and would be interested in joining a rally/roundup.

I didn't see a final decision on a Northern California event......lots of great ideas.....any firm plans yet?

Saw a post from a lady who has a campground in Corning, CA offering a nice place to be.  Anybody interested in that?

There's a great camp site at the base of the Klamath River" about a mile from the mouth. Gold River Camp is the name. Full hookups, pier, and boat launch, large house and nice owners . $35 a night.
Where and when is the Oregon event. We will be in Eugene the end of August.

The Oregon event is at Cannon Beach the end of August.....I see that it is full this year, seems to be very popular.  That must be a sign we need more West Coast events!

One of the more interesting days we had on our Pod trip to Colorado was when we Camped next to another Pod and we're able to talk "Podese". Pods " The Ultimate Icebreaker"😂

Read some chatter about having a No Cal rally but nothing ever came of it.  OR did it?  Are y'all still interested?  Winter is coming on and probably too late to get something together.  But keep posting so we can follow.  We're headed to Cloverdale for Labor Day Weekend.  Hope y'all have a fun weekend planned too.
