New R-Pod 179 Owner

Djdave, i'm not trying to be negative about the Cherokee but one other consideration for you is the size of the fuel tank. The guy I bought my 179 from originally towed it with a Rav4 which had about a 16 gallon tank. Since no matter what you tow with you'll at best get about 14 mpg, to have a reasonable fuel reserve he was looking for a gas station every 120 miles or so which drove him crazy. My Highlander with the same drivetrain and same 14 mpg fuel economy towing has about a 20 gallon tank so I can go about 180 miles before getting fuel, by which time I want to stop anyway. You wouldn't think so but just that additional 4 gallons makes a big difference in useful range. 

+1 on the fuel tank capacity. Our Escape was the same way. About every 100 miles, I was checking GasBuddy.

When I was younger, I could go 24 hours. Haven't been that way for a while though. 4-6 hours is typical for me. But you know, separate from the bladder issue is just sitting on your butt too long. A leg-stretching break every couple of hours is about right.

I learned a trick from a fighter pilot who flew in WWII.  He was partner emeritus in our firm and flew us all over CA in his little Cessna 152 tail dragger.  It applies only to men:  Carry a milk carton for emergencies.  Quarts work best.
