I have a CAMCO Lil Red propane pit, very small and self contained, what I liked about it was it's rated at 65000 BTUs, has an 8' foot hose and a cooktop is available, runs off a 1lb bottle with adapter. Takes up no space in back of truck. Perfect for two folks in the evening.

1) I want to get the fire pit going, and was going to do it today, but, it snowed.
2) I will video it, but, Like the post i saw here before, said it would be easier to set up billboards along every road........ than figure out how to post here.
3) Mcarter? your pit runs on a 1 pound can? 65000 btu? wow, mine is 58000 btu and they say a 20 pound  tank lasts 11 hours. A 1 pound must run out in less than 1/2 hour?

Don't disagree, all run with 1 lb with adapter. Have mine because it is compact. No argument, I have an extra tank I carry.

Just as a note.. if it's running at 58,000 btus, it can't run for 11 hours on a 5 gallon tank.
There are 21,548 btus in a pound of propane. 20 x 21,548 = 430,960
430,960 / 58,000 = 7.43 ....

A case of "your mileage may vary" fur?  The literature said between 8 and 11 hours, depending on low or high flame. Even at 8 hours, thats 2 good 4 hour fires for 12 - 13 bucks. Still cheaper, and definately less hassle than wood (i hope)

Ok, i'm going to try to post a short video. I have a shareable link for google pictures i'm trying. As you'll see (maybe) this is the Outland fire bowl deluxe 19 inch 58,000 btu version. They make a 24 inch 65,000 version if you want huge. They also offer the premier model which is the 19 inch with a built in ignitor. This video was shot right when i lit it for the first time, so it was still brand new. Now that it has run for about an hour, the flames are really much bigger. I guess the pumice needs a slight break in period. So it gives off much more flame then it first did.

Looks nice. One wouldn't mistake it for a wood fire, but it is quite attractive. At night, it should look impressive.
