My dealer told me the walls were waterproof when I asked the same question. And he pointed out that the door isn't, just as Tech said.

While we are talking shower stall in the Pod. Has anyone taken their "birdbath" sink out to gain more space. Have been giving that some thought.
also has anyone discovered a shower liner the that when installed goes over the existing "water resistant" walls? Tired of wiping down but will do so as I do not want the walls to get ruined. |

No we dont have that birdbath in our pod. So why dont you run a curtaintrack all around the shower, overlap track and curtain 6" by the door and your done.

Took ours out, couldn't stand the goofy thing being in the way every time we showered. And I hope I would actually enter the bathroom to wash my hands or brush my teeth, how silly would that be right?? I have a very noticeable spot where it used to be because the panel I got wasn't an exact match but I moved one of those black mesh holders over it hold our shampoo and stuff now so you don't even notice it. We think it's a very welcome and good change.

I like our little sink. With two or more in the pod it seems like someone is always washing dishes or something in the big (!) sink so being able to wash hands or brush teeth in the little sink is very handy. We use one of those shower squeegy things to 'wipe' down the walls after showers. It came with a handy little hook which we installed near the ceiling so it is out of the way most of the time.
We shower with the door open and just the curtain pulled across the opening so the space is not so claustrophobic. |

Thanks for all the replys.. I was able to check out an R-POD in person a week or so ago.. and actually get in the shower stall. I am a big guy, 6-1, 285lbs.. the littler shower/toilet is just not gonna work for me. I am going to look for something else. Too bad.. I really like the little camper alot. I would like to have one.. without the wet bath. It so small.. to me its useless.

We are about the same size, and the first few times I used the bathroom I left the door open. After that I have used all the features with the door closed and it works fine. It is no dance hall, but once used to the wet bathroom it is workable. Keith |

There are also some that have used an extension bar to push (a different) shower curtain out into the hallway to extend the lateral room.

I use my sink to fill with hot soapy water....scrub myself and then use the shower...saves on water and I think a more efficient way of bathing.

I find it strange how FR mounted a permanent sink in the small wet bath. I would've thought they'd mount a removable/modular one. I do however, like how things were mounted in the corner in the new models. In our 152, the taps are mounted dead center on the wall and I'm such a klutz that there is at least once per trip (no matter the length) where I will accidentally brush one of the taps on getting in and out of the bathroom and spray myself. Not a problem if I'm showering, but annoying if I'm just using the loo.
