I didn't know about it either.  I'm sure all of the pics were eating up too much bandwidth.

The existing pics are still on the server, from what I can tell.  Find the one you want already linked in a post, right-click on the picture and you can save a copy to your computer.

Never been to Oregon, that pic is B E A U T I F U L.  Definitely want to go there once I retire, also want to visit friends in Bend, another great spot in the Cascades.

While I have kept copies of all the pictures I have uploaded in the past and don't need to retrieve them from the forum, I can understand Marwayne's frustration. I would also have appreciated some notification before a change of this magnitude was made.

When this change was made, the PostImage site could have been incorporated by downloading the appropriate information from PostImage (https://postimage.io/mod.php) which would have kept the user's ability to upload and display images. This would be the decision of whoever is hosting this forum though.

Leo B, that is not the point. there was no notification, nothing, one day the pics were there the next day they were gone. I just like to retrieve my file.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Hey guys, I followed these instructions from Texman and it work, actually easier than the previous system.

go to https://postimage.io and hit the blue signup button at top right.  They send you a password via your email.  Login and use the upload button to move pics from your pc to their website, then once your pics are on the postimage site, open them and copy and paste to your post, is how i did it.
