I just dug out an old waffle maker I used back in college. I remember making all sorts of things in there including paninis, toasties and even scrambled eggs. It seems perfect for the pod now too and I'm looking forward to be having some old favourites such as waffled french toast :)

A tip from Good Eats, make sure it is good n' heavy. Scrambled eggs on a waffle maker, hmmm.

A waffle maker is a great idea! I saw a recipe recently for vegetable fritters and potato fritters on one. I also saw something about low carb waffles,I believe that recipe used eggs and cream cheese.

As long as it is homemade maple syrup, umm, ummm good stuff. Last time I made it was nearly 2 years ago. Collected 650 gallons of sap from my 70 taps. After boiling, boiling, and boiling some more I ended up with 15 gallons of final product !

I'll bet that goes for a good price, even with all the work. The only thing I can equate that to, is moonshine and homemade wine in TN. The real shiner product, not the stuff they sell commercial is like gold.

My son and grand kids make some each year! A couple years ago they also made birch syrup also.
