R Dome Set up

We got our new 2011 RP-172 last October and with the fall used it very little. Our selling dealer (rite stop rv , lebanon jct ky) did a great walk through, they even set the R dome up completly. they gave some tips, like spray silicone in the grove on the pod that the Dome rib slides into. thats ok, but I have only seen it set up once, we have not used it yet but plan to. Any one got a set up manual, step by step, uuhhh dont do this, I have read dont pull on the rib with pliers as it will tear, I know I can figure it out, I have heard after setting it up a couple of times it can be done in 5 to 10 minutes. Landing an Airplane at night in a rain storm is easy after you have done it several times to.

Actually, it's not that hard.  If I can do it myself, you SURELY can!  When it is set up it really is invaluable in rainy weather.  Here's a tip . . . When you take it down and pull it back out of the awning rail be careful not to jerk it across the ends of the rail - you don't want to tear the fabric.

We've got it down to about 15 minutes. we carry a small step stool to make it easier to put in the top poles (3 telescoping). We thread the dome onto the POD. We then thread in the front frame and place the long black ribbon holder in place. Then we insert and set up the center pole and then the two side poles. Then fine tune the front frame. We are now out of suction cups and will get some more but we use rope to attach the ends to the x-jacks and then opportunely place tent pegs  (if possible) as needed.
BTW, anyone know where to get new and better suction cups?

I use a step stool, too - actually it's more of a short ladder.  I'm only 5'3" so I couldn't do it by myself if I didn't have that.
