We ordered LED clearance lights for the fenders. Will post pictures when I finish mounting them. I noticed when I was driving at night I was unable to see the fenders through our side mirrors. I would like to see the fenders through construction areas where lanes are narrow and guard rails or barriers get a little close. Ordered two amber and two red for front and back of fenders. Hope they help out.       David and Danette

We found the same problem since we often leave at night to start a trip.  Craig put these on and they are helpful.

I plan to do the same in spring when it gets warm out.  I have been towing a lot at night this winter and it is very hard to see where the fenders are.

Does anyone know if the fenders for wiring trailer lights can be used for a ground? Or does anyone know what color the wire is for the tail lights? Need to buy wire and wanting to know about how many feet I will need. Haven't recievied the lights yet, but wanting to get started in planning how I'm going to wire them.  Thankyou   David

Brin...
Where did you tap into the existing running lights?  How did you attach the clearance light wires to the chassis/fenders?  I thought about installing clearance lights but wasn't sure how to run the wires on the inside of the fenders without drilling additional attachment holes in the stainless fenders. I was also worried about abrasion on the wires inside the fenders where road debris, etc. could impact the wires.

D & D - Look for the green (+) and white (-) wires coming out of the Bargman connector for the running lights.  I wouldn't trust the fender to provide a good ground.

TIDALWAVE I found what I was looking for. If you go to RPod nation and do a search for fender lights you will find pictures of Brin's work and someone else, I forget his name. He tapped into the green wire it should of been brown acording to standard wireing diagrams perhaps Forest River has wired it differently. He used plastic tubing to sheild the wires. Thanks Brin and Doug for the help.   David

Here's a picture of how Craig ran the wiring to the fender lights.  He used plastic water line from from Lowes.   He did ground it to the fender and it seems to work.  If this doesn't answer, let know and I will have him try to explain further.
Use a rubber grommet for the hole drilled in fender so light doesn't short out in the fender.
Grommet came from Advance Auto.

We did have to drill the mounting holes and the wire hole into the fender.   The wires on the right side run along the axle and are wire tied to the axle.

If you need more pictures and the darn snow will melt some more, let know and I can try to get some this weekend.
