Well I broke down and while my R-pod was being state inspected and having the front decals replaced I had them order the risers. Just did not feel all that great at how the r-pod sat.

After reading what other owners have said, I added the risers to my order. The cost was $100 when installed at the factory. I think the cost is higher when installed by the dealer.
I'll find out how the risers work out after we take delivery of our pod next month.

You are correct much cheaper when ordered from the start. But live and learn . I've had ours almost a year now and would do a few things different knowing what I know now.

I went with the "get rid of the low stuff" approach. Tongue jack is now a swing-up, I removed the hose container under the tongue, mine didn't come with front stab jacks. I'm debating taking the step off, I've already had to bend it back into shape once. Also debating putting castor wheels on the rear like you see on some big-rigs.

I was looking at doing the same thing but the dump for the tanks are still low. We are planning alot of camping weekends up at a girl scout camp we do work for and some of the places we pull into are very bumpy.

I have a flowjet pump. It uses a 12VDC 'cigarette' plug. So you need a way to power the pump.
I bought a replacement battery box which has a female plug outlet on the box. I can then simply plug the pump in without having to wire in an outside feed. The outlet can also then be used for any other 12VDC outside feed you need. |
