Topic: Quick Convec Micro Question Posted: 26 Aug 2017 at 10:00am |
It has to be the microwave or something right behind it. When you open the door, it gets louder. Dealer is ordering a new one.

If you're absolutely sure it's coming from the microwave, then replace the microwave.
The fan in the electric panel turns on once you plug into shore power and it's to cool the converter.

Yep. Will do. Just a pain. We have a trip scheduled in a few weeks. Hopefully it will still work.

If you are talking to me.. No, I am talking about the MW. It has a cooling fan that kicks on when baking, or even nuking if it gets hot enough in the enclosure. It should make no sounds when not in use, or not having just been used. Have you used it at all? Is this a new Pod? or new to you? And "dirty power" has nothing to do with the amperage. If it was a dirty power issue of any type, it would manifest itself while being used. Not when off.

A 15 amp connection is no more dirty or clean than a 20 or 30 amp connection. If your microwave is making a noise, it could be dirty power, or it could be something else. The 15 amp connection should be irrelevant.

I wonder if it is running because it is so hot in the unit itself (AC OFF IN FLORIDA).
