Calendar Event: New 175 owners Posted: 01 Feb 2010 at 11:46pm |
We got lucky. A 2010, 175 fully loaded for a great price. Used, but not much. We found a few little popcorn bits under the slide out. Oh gosh, that means someone was having fun watching movies in here. It gives the pod soul. We love it to bits. We thank VenturaDi, and our dealer, Angela.

Congrats on the 175! You will love it. The first thing you need to do is take the battery out of the box and drill some drain holes in the box. If you don't it will fill up with rain water.

Thank you, Terry, will do. The RP-175 actually came with two batteries with nice covers. We will definitely follow your advice and drill those holes.

Hi Gizeh, we want to buy an RPod, and have seen some great information on this site, especially Heinrich from Alberta has been so helpful. We received this quote today, and wonder what people think of it. If it sounds good, we might go for it. Thanks for any opinions,Lesley
"Hi Lesley ...We have a RP-175 in stock and we are selling for $17714.00
plus gst as you are from Alberta and you would not have to pay
PST. This includes the r-dome awning, convection microwave, air
conditioner,tv combo and tv antenna. As well we fill the propane tank,
include the battery, predeliver the unit, clean inside and out and as well
give you a thorough demonstation. If you have any other questions
please feel free to contact me." etc.

Lesley - IMHO the closer to home you can purchase, the better. It is my understanding that only the Dealer that sells you a Pod, is obligated to do warranty work...check the Forest River web site.
With that said however, RV Nation seems to have the best prices around. You might want to check their price + shipping cost + exchange rate (I'm assuming you are in Alberta, Canada and would not pick up in Ohio).
My philosophy is to always counter offer less...all they can do is say "no".
Good luck and I'm sure you'll enjoy!

Thanks! Our closest RPod dealer is in Calgary. I guess I'll compare it with their price, because the other dealer is in Saskatchewan.
