I just traded my 27' Laredo. My 27' was on a lot in an RV park in Townsend Tn. My choice was between a $45,000 truck to pull the 5th wheel or trade for something my car could pull. I traded for a '16 179 R Pod. Although it was used I could not find any signs of wear. I have had trailers on my condo lot since 93 but I have not pulled one. It is my intention to begin traveling. As a way of introduction I am a 73 y/0 semi retired neuro-psychologist. I am located in the southeastern corner of Tennessee near Chattanooga. My interest is in visiting the National parks. I lost my wife of 48 years to cancer two years ago. Now I am starting on the plan we had for retirement.
I would love to connect with podders in my area. I have thought of pulling the pod with my Miata. Decided my Charger with the 5.7 hemi was a better choice.

Dr LIN,

There is an RPod Owners map on the forum, I believe it is managed by Kymooses.  If you search for RPod Owners Map you will find the post, will give you location of near fellow Podders.

Welcome!  I think you made the right choice in tow vehicles (TVs).  Also it sounds like nice tribute to your wife to see the things you had planned on seeing before.

Dr. Lin,

Welcome to our little group and you did make the right choice on tow vehicles. The Miata might have been a push.....Literally. Wink
