We have taken delivery of a slightly used 2016 R-pod 179. We are currently trying to work out how to set it up and get everything working. All of this is pretty new to us so we are grateful for the resources offered here. We are particularly curious as to how other 179 owners have used the available closet spaces. How do you stop stuff from sliding around - just pack it tight?
We are a mature couple looking forward to traveling the highways and byways of the USA and Canada over the next few years - as long as we are young and fit enough to do it. Our RV experience is limited to a week or so with relatives in their giant Class A bus. We liked the social life and atmosphere of the couple of campgrounds we visited. We hope to get out and about within a few weeks for a shakedown cruise - those a guess "shakedown" is not quite the best word. |

Congrats on the 179! We love ours.
There are two ways to keep things from sliding around: throw them on the bed or use non-skid rugs under them. |

Welcome. For most stuff it doesn't matter if it slides around some. We do the bed thing for some stuff, like TheBum said.

Welcome and congrats on your new pod, one thing we found out you don't want to do is put anything in the sink thinking it will stay there, we had our Bunn single serve coffee maker in there and when we hit a bump it bounced it right out onto the floor, lol, needless to say we don't do that anymore.

For the dining table, collapse the legs. Invert it and put it on the long dinette cushion. Use the tie-down strap to go over the frame then latch it and cinch it tight. That will keep it from sliding around. For other items, there are spring-loaded bars which can be used to help keep things from sliding. We use them in the kitchen cabinets and also in the refrigerator.
