...that is the question. 

Looking forward to fall weather camping where it WILL get below freezing at night. If I have the furnace on, is it necessary to have the bathroom vent open? It seems like a waste to heat the inside and having it go right out the ceiling, but I have heard some say you should always have the vent at least cracked to prevent humidity build up.

Thoughts?

We've camped in cold weather and have not kept the vent open.  No problems.  Condensation on some surfaces can be a problem whether or not you have the vent open.

We always have it open an inch or so. 2 adults, 2 +75 pound dogs.. lot of moisture in the air... We had lots of condensation our first couple trips before we learned to keep it open just a bit.

Same for us, we have experimented trying open windows at opposite end (about 1/2") open windows only on the bed side and one window open by our bed and having the fantastic fan open 1/2",  all have worked but we normally will use the last method, and yes, we turn the fan off, just have the door open a little bit.  Rather have a bit of fresh air overnight than have to wipe down all the wet walls and windows due to condensation.

We have a 180 so no bathroom vent. Our last camping trip will be the Canadian Thanksgiving in Oct. We will be opening the window at our feet an inch and have the Fantastic Fan on low.

As far as loosing heat, I guess this would depend on just how warm you like to keep the trailer while you sleep. We like it around 60.

You don't need the FF on. Just open the lid an inch or so.

I think you will find a Pod to be much "tighter" than your PuP..

Yup, pups are naturally vented.   

With the pod - even when it is cold outside - you need a window and the vent cracked open to remove what you perspire and exhale overnight.

Each person loses a liter of water per day, so figure over an 8 hour night 2 people will total 2/3 of a liter of water that will be on every surface and the air will be damp, if you keep everything closed.
