We store an extra tank in the pod while towing. We put the tank into a milk crate and then use bungee cords to keep it from sliding around. Once we park we just put the tank out by the tongue. No biggie since it takes me less than 5 minutes to swap the tanks.

I have decided if I am going to add any extra weight to the tongue, then it will be to mount the spare on it. I am currently searching threads to see if anyone successfully mounted the spare under the tongue.

I like your hose storage setup, especially the slide-out.

I used two L brackets and self tapping screws and mount the honey tube holder to the frame behind the spare tire.

Looks like a great idea.
1.) Would you tell us the clearance from the tube to the ground please? 2.) Do you travel on gravel roads or do any boon docking with this set up? Cheers, Duer |

Clearance is great, it sits right on top of the spare tire hitch and I used the "L" brackets to bolt onto the tube and then it lines up with the end of the trailer frame to secure it with self tapping screws. Not sure of the distance to the ground at the moment but if you bottom out you will damage the spare tire first if that helps.
