The pod stays in the horse barn for another day. With well over 12" of snow in the last couple of days and most importantly temp of - 26 C. don't think the heater could keep it warm enough inside. Good day to stay inside and cozy up to the woodstove.

Winter is long up there.. I honestly would like to see how the heater keeps up in those temps. That's about -15F.. I know our little ceramic can keep the pod warm to about 5F. But that's about the coldest it's ever been here and I checked it. It was only 50F or so in the pod, but that's warm enough, and that was only the ceramic. I bet with the propane heater to.. it would be toasty.

Ditto no podding here either!! We have a sunny 4 degrees F with the wind chill pushing it to 10 below.
Wind is going to pick up so tonight it is supposed to be - 20 to -30 below. Would rather be surf fishing

Ceramic heater kept my 171 at 70 F at 10 F outside. No slide so fewer air leaks and a smaller area to heat. The propane heater has a lot more BTUs so I'm sure it would keep up at -15 F.

I use a propane Buddy heater in my shanty. Usually works really well! Hada nasty wind coming straight down the lake.

Coldest we've taken our 177 to sleep in was 22 with at least that much wind blowing as well. Set the thermostat for about 60 and while we did keep warm, the floor was rather 'cool' and the furnace ran a lot during the night, guess I should have had ear plugs as you all know it is rather noisy when running.

We usually run a "white noise" generator app on one of our phones. It helps cover the furnace noise. In addition, I have a fan running to help circulate the heat so it doesn't build up so much under the bed. That also helps cover the noise. Third, my CPAP machine also helps. On our first big trip over Christmas, after the first night, we really didn't notice the furnace cycling on and off. Like the person living next to RR tracks, you get accustomed to sounds and start to block them out.
