Air Conditioner Leak?

   We're kind of newbies since we bought our Rpod Model 179 less than 3 months ago.
We just returned from camping and had quite a bit of rain.  No leaks, we thought.  We pulled the unit home 300 miles in clear weather and when we went into it at home we saw the carpet runner directly under the A/C unit damp with a spot of about 1' across.

Just wondering, do these units sometimes leak to the outside themselves or should I look for leaking around the seal of the unit on top?  I would have thought that if it leaked it would have happened when it was raining the previous night, but it seemed like it was more like water that maybe collected in the unit and then "spilled out" with the motion of the moving.

Anyone else have any experience with this?

	It is possible some condensation built up inside, which leaked out of the vents as you were moving. Is yours new or used?

	Our rpod is new. We had the vents open to there was flow of air into the unit. We had condensation on the windows inside and it was very cold outside, so that could be the answer. Perhaps it pooled inside and the motion made it spill out the center vent. Thanks for the thought--makes sense. I think I'll still get a ladder out on Monday and take a look. John

	We are going on our second year and have been through some real heavy rain while camping and we are happy to report...no leaks! Yay! However, just last month we pulled the POD through some very very heavy rain and when we stopped for a break, we discovered the very same thing you did, only bigger. I believe under certain conditions, while towing at high speeds in real heavy rain that some of the rain can work itself into and through the shroud vents on top and inside the POD. Again, no problem whatsoever when sitting still, but while pulling at 50mph+ a little bit gets through...no big deal. Good luck, have fun!
