Topic: Mysterious part? Posted: 14 Sep 2015 at 7:16pm |
I bought a used 2014 177 and found a gold colored pipe about 18" long in the storage area. Anyone know if that is for something I should know about? It's not attached to anything. Isn't threaded on either end. It was just rolling around in there. It seems like trash, but I hate to toss something I will regret later.

A picture would be nice.. But.. did the previous owners use a WDH? Our hitch came with a leverage bar that sounds about like that. We don't use it, we jack the tongue up and attach.

Looks like a leverage tool for setting the spring bars on a WDH. Fits on the yoke that holds the chain so you can pry it up into place then set it with a retaining ring.

Thanks all! Since I don't have a WDH I didn't recognize it. I guess I'll toss it.

If I may ask, why don't you have a WDH.

I do have anti-sway, just not WDH. I am doing my first distance trip next week so I may change my mind after that. Please don't flame me. I understand that most people on this forum wouldn't dream of not having a WDH. But I also look around the campgrounds and about half the people towing don't.
