Sounds like the problem we had.  I changed the orifice and cleaned the chimney.  Dealer tried multiple things with assistance from the factory.  Finally they said it must be the gas valve.  The orifice and chimney are the first things to check.

Bingo! Found spiders in the burner and chimney. Compressed air took care of the little critters. It's making ice cubes now.

We had gone out Memorial Day and it worked fine. Didn't take long to get gummed up. Seems like a fine line between functional and not working with the propane. We'll have to watch that closer.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Shroomer, sounds like something to check on a regular basis, P.S. I had a nice mess of Morels a few weeks ago.

Nice to hear they're still out there. We've found 1. Still waiting to find that place that has a mess of them. Wine caps and oysters have been strong.

from the outside access area visually confirm that the burner ignition port has not juggled out of position during travel over rough roads.

We recently had a problem with our 179 where the fridge would go into alarm every 2 minutes indicating the door was open. The dealer identified a loose ground wire as the fault (or at least I hope it was.) The fridge did the same thing in every mode. Since this was a short trip to the Keys, we ended up using it as a ice box and buying ice to keep food cold. I had already scheduled an appointment to get another minor item fixed when we got back.

We go out soon for a month and will be traveling from Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Ohio, New York, Canada, New York Pennsylvania, Virginia, Carolina again and back to Florida. We hope to see you all on the road. Happy Camping to all!
