Just got ours over the weekend.  Fridge worked great on battery but as soon as I pressed the gas button it would flash both the gas and error lights and beep for 20 seconds.  Couldn't figure out what was wrong.  Today I called the dealer and asked if they could let me know of something to try so I wouldn't have to bring it in.  They called back and said that they'd have to look at it.  I RTFM'd again, and discovered that the error light on the far right of display (8501 model) is actually a reset button!  Pressed it, and it reset the fridge, heard it actually trying to light for the first time, and next thing I know it stayed lit and no more errors.  I have it sitting in the driveway and will check it in the morning.  All the dealer had to say was to check the reset as a step.  Don't know if that helps or if you tried it, but worth a shot.

Nice to know that is a RESET button...

Had the same issue when we switched from battery to gas at our camp site this week.

Out of frustration, I pushed every button available and got the beeping to stop.

Guess it was that RESET button that did it ;0)

My assumption is that the RESET has it try to light again if it did not work the first time.

Also, I did not think or know about the propane flow issue since I switched over to propane for the refrigerator BEFORE trying to cook on the propane burners.

NEW RULE:  Boil water for coffee first after arrival to camp ground then switch the fridge to gas!

So we went camping this past week. Never usually camp hookup loop, but this time we had it so used it. Kinda nice not even thinking about power consumption. Lit the place up like Times Square! Even switched fridge to AC - rare for us.

Huge thunder boomers rolled through during the night. About 4:00 AM I heard a beeping sound amongst the thunder. Took me a minute (or less ;)) to figure it out. The camp electric had gone out with the storm! Switched the fridge back to propane and went back to sleep (after I snuck a mini Dove Bar out of freezer).

Kinda surprised the fridge doesn't switch automagically.

All good info in this thread.

No more Frig beeping:
Did everything everyone said, compressed air on door switch circuit board, dielectric grease, foam air block, adjust hinges and closer tightness, unplug 110v behind frig, unplug 12v at fuses, defrost unit, etc..
Beeping always came back later!!!  Wife said there will be no beeping tonight or going back to ice chests.
Final solution, took off control panel at top of frig and found round alarm on circuit board.
Took a 1/16" drill bit and carefully drilled through the diaphragm plate on alarm round speaker.
No more beeping, happy wife, don't care if frig dies or blows up, piece and quiet again!!!
You guys are great, thanks for all your help and advice.

Now I call that a fix!!!  I felt like that the night it happened to us!! We ended up complaining to our dealership and they replaced the refrigerators locking device and circuit board under warranty.

I would much rather have drilled it or hit it with a hammer or shot it or...............

Thanks for posting this, this problem occurred last night after setting up and switching to propane. Looked at the manual which provided little information. Then found your post and pulled the cover off the door latch led lights finding moisture accumulation so took a paper towel dried it off and left the cover off (it seems to collect condensation) and the beeping stopped.

No beeps since, success LOL

Thanks for the info. Same story here, 2700 miles from home. And yes, it is very humid here and I can see condensation inside the switch cover. I won't be able to do anything about it for awhile, but you can bet Dometic will be hearing about this. 3300 miles to go, and it will be humid until I get to New Mexico.

Cheers,
