No one it seems has addressed the issue of where to place a roll of toilet paper for use in the
wet bath. Now I know you are all going to have the issue at some point right? So you just take the paper in when you think you need it? There is no shelf near the door outside the Loo in the 2015 178. Or Do you... (TMI alert here!) use the shower head as a bidet? I am looking for solutions before heading out on my first "shake" down event!

I installed this marine TP holder that closes up and keeps it dry as well as stopping it from unrolling during travel.

I smash the roll as flat as possible and stuff it into he magazine pockets. I remove it before taking a shower . Forgot once, and it was a soggy mess.

I bought a toilet paper holder that is held to the wall with 3M tape. I located it high on the rear wall, just above my left shoulder (when sitting on the toilet). When the shower curtain is closed, its well protected from the water.

Wow! I like the Marine roller... Just converting from a sailboat! There must be space for the rear of the dispenser to not project into the sleeping area? Squashing the roll seems an alternative but then the paper Will not roll off well! Hah! It is a wonder the Forest River people did not come up with the marine roller solution... They must carry their roll in each time. Or have they ever used the Loo in the RPOD? Designers should be made to use the RPOD for a period of time while designing.. Not just look at computer layouts!

I went the cheap route and bent a length of copper wire so it would hook over the two valves, and stuck the roll on there (and hung a trash bag from it). When it was time to shower I would unhook it and take it out.

There is a fair amount of room up under the basin. We got a "one arm" paper holder and stuck it up in the empty area. So far it's worked OK, but we keep the shower water flow low. We also keep an old shower cap ready in case water splashes get to be a problem.
Changing rolls with this type of holder is easy, even though it's in a crowded area. |
