Hi Drew,
We have towed our 179 from Vermont to North Carolina multiple times and had previously towed our 171 to Florida on multiple occasions both without any problems. Our tow vehicles have been a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. We keep a reasonable speed and just watch the wind. Tows really nice!

Still haven't received our 179 from the factory yet so we are patiently waiting.. I did want to ask how does the 179 tow? We ordered the Hood River edition with options so it takes the weight up to 2900 lbs. we plan to live in the coach and tow it all over from Alaska to Florida to California and all in between! This camper is perfect for us however I am a bit concerned with the 3500lb single axel it sits on. I don't plan to overload it but will be darn close to the limit while towing or camping.
With that said, have you towed it extensively or had any problems with towing? Also, are you towing close to the axel limit weight?

Thanks!

Welcome from a fellow Alaskan. You will enjoy the rpod. This will be our third season in our 172 and we love it so far. I have been very happy with our trailer...not a single repair or issue so far.

Greetings Everyone!
My name is Drew and my FiancĂ© and I live in Alaska and we just ordered a Rpod 179.  If anyone has any tips before we take delivery feel free to pass them along.  We are stoked!  More to come when we receive our pod!
