apache - you may want to add specific info in a separate post in the podmods section.  Lots of people ask about getting more clearance and I think you are the winner in that department.  Personally I think they all should come as high as yours.  Even with the risers I would sometimes scrape the back of my pod.

yessaco - that reminds me of a winter trip 2 years ago, I pulled my pod for 3 hours through a blizzard.  I was VERY happy to have 4 wheel drive and all-terrain tires.  I didn't have a single problem on big hills with all that weight, even as cars were sliding all over the place including backwards.

Im going to take it all over BC to some secret spots I discovered with my Jeep, hot springs, mountain lakes, river side camping.  I also snowmobile, so I will be camping in the snow.

Here is our rig on February 12, 2015 on Highway 60 between Charleston, West Virginia and Lexington, VA. It's a 2014/179 with a 2011 Tahoe. Ice and snow in those mountains was quite an adventure. Jan did all the driving with no mishaps. We've put about 10,000 miles on this rig since May of 2014 purchase and this was by far the most challenging. Made it to Florida for a month but got stuck in Nashville in an ice and snow storm that got 600 vehicles stuck for a day on I65 between Nashville and Louisville. We waited it out and made it home to Elgin, IL without any troubles. Just one adventure after another.

That's impressive!  Forget "Hood River Edition"--that's more like "Yukon River Edition."  Where do you plan to take it?  What's your TV?

This is my jacked pod, a 5000 lbs Torsion axle gave me a 4" lift, plenty of clearance for 33" tires.  This pod is being modified to be a 4 season-off road pod.  The whole lift cost me $1700 in parts.  Happy PoddingBig smile

Nice looking trailer!  Is your Silverado a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

I think I hit the wrong post tab the first time.

Just want to show our new R-Pod 179 we purchased on Presidents Day in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  We made a 100 mile day trip from our home in Grants Pass, Oregon to pickup our Pod.  We will be towing it with our 2014 Chevy Silverado Z71.  We just made reservations at Yosemite National Park for April for our first big trip.
