I am delighted that we have campers from Michigan, Indiana, and New York State coming to our Rendez-vous. Ferris Provincial Park is only 2 hours from the Highway 81 crossing at Wellesley Island, NY, 3 1/2 hours from Buffalo, NY and 5 1/2 from Detroit, MI.
As of January 6th, we now have 26 campsites registered.

Likewise Doug and Caroline.
Please send me an email to rpod@wray-canada.com when you book your site. That way I can add you to the confirmed list for the FREE FOOD!
(I currently have 2 campsites that have not yet identified themselves so they might be out of luck )

Hello Doug and Caroline,
Each event is organized differently but, as we are the hosts for the Rendez-vous, let me answer your question.
We have promoted this event as an informal FR "campout" and have planned it so that costs are at a minimum. After all, the fun is in the friends that we will make and the times we will have.
This means that your only cost is through Ontario Parks for your campsite.
We have planned a couple of tours to attractions that have no admission charge. As distances are short, we will car-pool or take our own vehicles.
There will also be programming that the Friends of Ferris and the Park Staff have offered to put on for us. Again, there is no charge. But, as an effort to "give back" to the Park, we are asking everyone to contribute a toonie or two so that we can raise money for them to re-build one of the boardwalks.
Of course, this does mean that you are responsible for your food/drinks/firewood etc. during your camping.
Oh ... I forgot ... as a "thank you" for you owning an FR rv, there is a free BBQ on Saturday night courtesy of FR.
It can't get much better than that ... can it?
Cheers,
David

Hi Fellow poders, this would be our first Rpod event. We are excited to find an event in Ontario that we could join in easily. Questions: would there be a charge for this event other than the camp site fees? Is there a program or schedule of events or is it pretty informal.? Look forward joining the fellowship of the pods!!

Quick reminder that reservations open on SUNDAY, JANUARY 4TH at 7:00 AM. We encourage our fellow R-Podders to reserve their sites in the Valleyview campground, as Bedrock campground is ideal for bigger RVs.
So far we have 6 campsites booked by those who are arriving early. (Make sure that you send me an email to rpod@wray-canada.com so that I can add you to the FR "campout" list so that we have enough food for the BBQ.)
