Topic: bathroom size Posted: 17 Dec 2014 at 6:24pm |
hello all,
My lovely bride and I are thinking of purchasing a 179. I'm concerned with the small size of the bathroom and the large size of myself!! I'm 6'2" and roughly 300lbs, built like a football player I've been told.
for folks my size, what's your experience using the toilet for "reading"?

We are similarly sized. The first few times I left the door ajar. Now it is no problem for either showers or reading. While I like the size of our bath at home better for camping it is great. I got used to it.

I am a little smaller than you, but read with door open.. and shower, no issue, but I don't spend a whole lot of time reading anyways...

I don't think the Pod bathroom is condusive to a reading scenario. I'm of a plumber stature, I have no issue using it, showering in there, etc. I can't imagine getting comfy on that seat though for any longer than required.

I like to poop in private. We basically have a no pooping in the trailer rule. Can't understand the opening above the door, I would want the odors to not drift... I have not showered in there. Not quite as big, but to me, it is just a tad too small. I would gladly give up 6" in both directions for a little more room.

Turning on the fan mostly takes care of the odor issue. Just don't pack pork-n-beans for dinner like my wife used to do, until we all told her to STOP PLEASE!

The Pod bathroom is a little small. I'm not the biggest guy--a little rotund and a lot clumsy. Our Pod's shower wand did not have an on/off control. I replaced it with one that did, and wrapped the hot/cold knobs with a velcro strap. I did this after twice bumping the knobs and taking a shower with my clothes on!
