2x4x3/16" - 12" - $10 (per side) Hardware - $10 4 holes to drill (per side) Total time - 2 hrs If you are just a bit handy - you'll figure this out. It is stronger, better and will cost you a lot cheaper than the outrageously expensive one going around for as much as $200 I did weld the corners - just because I'm crazy and I overbuild everything - but is not necessary. If I ever have to take the axle out - it will take me 10 mins to cut that weld. All the hardware should be minimum grade 5 ![]() ![]() ![]() Have fun ! |

Looks very nice!
Our lift was included in the super low price, so that saved me the time. |

On each side - lift the RV from under the axle, jack stands, take the wheel off, take the bolts off, lower the axle, put the new spacer, put the bolts, raise the axle, put the wheel, take the jack stands off, lower the axle.
One important thing - mark the alignment of the trailer frame and the axle. I used a masking tape

Where did you get the 2x4x3/16" risers that you used? Were they pre-made and bought that way or did you have them custom-made somewhere?
Tnx!

As Sean said ... any steel supplier would have that - or get it online (while it will cost more) here for example: http://www.speedymetals.com/pc-4713-8224-4-x-2-x-188-wall-rectangular-steel-tubing.aspx
