I will post pictures when I get a chance. With the fan in reverse is like having a ceiling fan above the dinette table. Very happy with the outcome and installing was easier than I had thought it would be. The ceiling joist are about 2 feet apart the roof has 1 1/2" of block foam altogether the roof is 1 13/16 " thick. I think that may be similar to the r-pods where there is foam. I think it will help in keeping it cooler in front.

This morning after the tedious task of measuring to make sure the opening was where I thought would be a good location, I cut the opening. I just missed several wires thankfully nothing was cut, but among those wires was 12 volts to connect the fan to, that made things easier. I am taking a break now and hope to have the job completed by the end of the day. It is looking good so far and temporarily wired it and it works hooray!

Yup, always measure currents - on any DC or AC appliance.  The label ratings are for startup max surge.

I have noticed they have redesigned there motors the fan we ordered has the old motor, I don't know if there is a difference in amps. I did notice a difference in price they raised the price for the new design. The old ones have been dependable and have lasted campers a long time without any problems that is good enough for me.

FYI re the Fantastic fans. I installed one on my Camplite and measured the DC current. The current for the FF is specified at 1.86/2.29/3.0 Amps on low/med/high, however I actually measured 1.0/1.27/1.61. Apparently the spec values are starting currents, more useful for fuse sizing. Good news for dry campers. I also put their UltraBreeze UB1500SM cover on it. No more worrying about rain. Great!

Thank you everyone who replied. We ordered the Fantastic fan and the cover for when it rains. Next is going to be cutting a square hole in the roof that I will need to give more thought do not want to make a mistake. Ouch

this is not exactly what you were asking about---but related .

we added 2 small (6") fans to our pod-one at each end.  they make a lot of air movement and contribute nicely to keeping the pod cool.  we got them from our local office supply store (about $17 each). they are 110 volt and have large clamps that can attach in lots of different places. I actually custom fabricated 2 mounts that are attached to the top of the window valences for the mounting locations.

here is a link to the fans

here is the mount

here is the mount and a fan together
