I was wondering why the r-dome wasn't included myself, since the dealer was doing all he could to discourage us from purchasing one maybe they have had some customers with a bad experience with them. My mistake for not negotiating one in the price. Looking over the brochure the r-dome and bike carrier are the only options it didn't come with other than the special edition.

Just a question, why isn't the rdome included? Ours came with it. Found out after the fact that there are all kinds of options that don't always get mentioned. Mostly it's due to not having one on the lot with all available options.

Welcome to the group.

G models are the best, congrats on the perfect Pod.

Domes are awesome and currently unless you dealer gives a nice deal on one they are cheapest from FR directly at this time.

Should be Kendra currently at that number.  I think last person who bought one got it for $523 + shipping, which they will often try to help with that by sending it to a dealer who locally has something coming from them already.

Welcome.  We've had several long discussions here - some love it, some hate it.  Here is a list of contacts:

This is what I use. It's movable. Any of the four sides can be an awning and two of the sides are doors. I usually set it up in the rear and put an awning over/under my garage door if it rains. Add a propane heater and it's very warm with three walls down. I bought a paha'que awning for the door side and again put an awning under it if the screen room is on that side. I also bought three adjustable awning polls if I want two sides up. All four walls roll up if u want just a screen room. It's all water proof. They sell a add on floor too, but I didn't bother.

And welcome I'm sure you'll love yours as much as I love mineBig smile

Hello,
We are the proud new owners of a 2014 182g. We didn't  get an r-dome from our dealer mostly due to the sales person and the tech that did the delivery and walk thru telling us we didn't want one and that are more trouble than they are worth. Me personally have had no issues with setting up some of the most difficult tents in the past. And have an opinion that once I get the camper and campsite setup it would be just another task.
What is the majority opinion on this? The dealership says they have to contact Forest River and give them our vin for pricing. Has anyone here gone directly to the manufacture for an r-done is so what the contact number? Thanks in advance and looking forward to many new adventures.
