This could be the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I had my pod pluged in to charge the battery. We got 2 feet of snow and I needed to clear the driveway. I did not want to run over the AC extention cord with my snow blower so I found the cord buried in the snow. I grabed it and  gave it a flick to throw it up onto the part of my drive and was alread cleared and I heard a crack. looking at the trailer I saw that the connector on the trailer had broken around all three screws and plulled out of the trailer. I guess the plastic that the connector is made out of is not designed for -16 deg C.

I talked to two dealers and they did not have one in stock so I have to order one.

I don't have a picture of plug but here is one I stole off of the internet. Mine broke out all three screws.

In the first or second winter I owned mine, the cover snapped off at the hinge.  That plastic does not do well in the cold.

Okay Repair time. I odered a new plug off of ebay for the POD. I could have gotten a direct replacement but I wanted a stronger on. so I got this one

I removed what was left of the old one. I forgot to take a picture before I did this but these are the broken parts

I then installed the new plug. I just had to attach the wires to the terminals on the back of the plug. They were colour coded black white and green. The green terminal attached to the bare ground wire and the black and white go the the black and white wire respectively. Tighten down the screws on the terminals and screw the receptical to the side of the pod. I still have to put in one screw. the original had three this one has four. And Voila all done.

And this is what it looks like open

This outlet supports the threaded locking ring that comes with the  Pod cord or the twist lock ring. I might scare up a twist lock ring because I was always cross threading the ring before. I like it. It is more substantial that the old one but sticks out a little more than the old one but overall an improvement.

Hi Doug,

Which side of the hinge did you break the receptical or the cover. If it was the cover my old cover is in good shape if you want it I can send it to you. I tried to PM you but it said you have been doing that too much and you were not allowed any PM any more.  PM me your address if you want it.

Odd, I've never heard of that problem with PMs.  Maybe you have too many in your Sent box and just need to delete some?  I've hit that problem before.

I just went out with a flashlight and I can use it!  Looks like mine split at either end of the spindle on the lid itself, shown on the far right side of your picture.  Loosen the screws and I should be able to pop your lid in its place.   Thanks for the offer, I'll try to PM you.
